Donation Opportunities

Local Kids’ Coats: Cradles to Crayons has a particular need for kids’ winter coats. “Orders for children’s coats are up 61% over this time last year.” Here’s a list of dropoff locations and other stuff they need.

Stuff for Haiti: All the following donations can be dropped off at a container parked at the Super Stop & Shop in Somerville located at 779 MacGrath Highway, between February 8th – 21st. Donations can also be dropped off at the locations specified below, or you can call to schedule pickup of items.
FIRST AID SUPPLIES

* antibiotic and antifungal (Mycology) creams
* anti-allergy medication (i.e. Benadryl)

* insect repellent
* hydrogen peroxide
* skin disinfectant spray
* crutches, canes, wheelchairs

PERSONAL ITEMS AND HYGIENE GOODS

* transferred air miles (to be used for the volunteer’s travel)
* new bed sheets
* new towels
* school supplies: notebooks, pencils, book-bags, markers, art supplies etc.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Haitian Coalition of Somerville, Centro Latino, and the Dominican Development Center need our help to fill humanitarian containers of food and medicine to be shipped to Haiti. This effort is aided by FUNTOSALUD International through its Border Health Mission (BHM) project, in collaboration with Fundacion todo por la Salud in the Dominican Republic. Through the Border Health Mission, FUNTOSALUD delivers a sustainable humanitarian and volunteer model, empowering the Haitian/Dominican peoples through solidarity.
